BLOOMINGTON – The sound of chainsaws, ice falling, and wind howling filled the air Monday afternoon.
Several stop lights went out including ones at Main and College in Normal and Veterans and Empire in Bloomington. Lights were out for nine percent of McLean County residents. Every energy customer in the town of Colfax lost power at some point.
The rain slowed down and temperatures began to rise by late afternoon.
