Clinton man dies in house fire

CLINTON – Fire investigators in DeWitt County are trying to determine the cause of a fire that killed a Clinton man.

DeWitt County Coroner Randy Rice said Scott R. Miller, 52, was found lying on the floor of the home at 925 N. George St. when fire crews arrived at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday. Miller was taken to Dr. John Warner Hospital in Clinton where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Fire crews from Clinton, Wapella, Kenney and Maroa all battled the blaze.
