Frances McDonald
Frances M. “Francine” McDonald, 69, of Flanagan, died at 2:13 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1 at OSF St. James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center in Pontiac.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2502 29th Ave, Rock Island, Ill. 61201. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Normal, IL at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph Evening Meal, c/o St. Pius X, 2502 29th Ave, Rock Island 61201.

She was born March 27, 1945 in Rock Island, daughter of Joseph and Anna “Margaret” Martino Pizzuto. She married Robert Matthew McDonald on June 10, 1978 at Rock Island.
Surviving is her husband, Robert, of Flanagan; one daughter, Judy (Peter) Busch of Bloomington, IL and one sister, Ann Knight of Chatham, Ill. Also surviving are her nephew, Joe (Tracy) Schatteman and her niece, Marianna (Jason) Urich and great-nephew, Sammy Schatteman.
Frances previously worked in the cafeteria at Washington Junior High School in Rock Island, IL. When her and Robert welcomed their daughter, Judy, to their family, Frances then stayed home to raise her family and tend to the responsibilities around the house.
William Fehr
William John Fehr, 86, passed away at midnight on Feb. 19 at Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury and from 9-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Fairview Haven Retirement Community, Fairbury.
William was born Oct. 12, 1928 in Fairbury, the son of John W. and Anna L. (Peter) Fehr. He married Helen Lois Steidinger on Feb. 24, 1957. She survives.
Also surviving are their children: Marlene (James) Steidinger of Fairbury; Julia Moser of Fairbury; Helen (Matthew) Edelman of Sabetha, Kan.; John (Jennifer) Fehr of Rankin; Elizabeth Fehr, Martha Fehr and Sally Fehr, all of Fairbury; and Anna (Ned) Bahler of Fairbury; 25 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Fehr of Fairbury; four sisters, Anna Mae Fehr of Fairbury, Dorothy (Joe) Steidinger of Forrest, Eunice (John) Stork of Roberts and Lucille (Ronald) Steidinger of Cropsey and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Mary Fehr, Norma Edelman and Margaret Fehr; and his son-in-law, Douglas Moser.
William was a dairy and grain farmer in the Fairbury area. He and his family operated a fresh fruit and vegetable stand. After retiring from farming, he worked as a school bus driver for the Prairie Central school district, in maintenance at Fairbury Hospital and was a security guard at Pittsburgh Tube. He served in the U.S. Army as a medic from 1954-56.
As a young man, William repented and was baptized as a believer in Jesus Christ. He was a strong supporter of the Apostolic Christian faith. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.” –Psalm 116:15

James Rusthoven
James Robert Rusthoven, 49, of Strawn, died at 4:57 p.m., Feb. 18 at OSF St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Bloomington.
Cremation rites have been accorded with a celebration of life service at 3 p.m., Sunday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury; with Pastor Daryl Evans officiating.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, prior to his service also at the funeral home in Fairbury. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of James R. Rusthoven.
James was born July 25, 1965 in Cicero, Ill.; the son of Kenneth and Lois (Batjes) Rusthoven. He married Lori Russell on Feb. 11, 1996 in Joliet, Ill. She survives in Strawn.
Other survivors include one son, Charles Rusthoven of Sibley; one daughter, Catherine Rusthoven of Strawn; his parents, Kenneth and Lois Rusthoven; one sister, Jennifer Rusthoven all of Cicero; and his mother in-law, Patsy Russell of Fairbury.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jeffery Rusthoven and father in-law, Charles Russell.
