Elsie Kolb

Elsie L. Kolb, 54, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:26 a.m. Feb. 22 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

Her celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.  Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chicago French Bulldog Rescue or to Arrow Dog Rescue/Rescue Revolution on Wheels.

She was born Nov. 29, 1960 in Peoria, a daughter of Roger S. and Louise Eyrse Kolb. 

Surviving are her father, Roger S. Kolb of Bloomington; two brothers, Guy D. (Marcia) Kolb of  Woodbridge, Va., and Roger S. (Donna) Kolb II of Willowbrook; a sister, Laura A. (Chuck) Bowen of Pekin; niece and nephews, Rachel (Bill) Murphy, AJ Bowen, Roger S. Kolb III and John W. Kolb; a great-niece, Sunshine Bowen; and her beloved fur babies, Dodger, Annie, Elvis and the late Star.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Elsie graduated from Illinois State University and began her professional career as a Medical Technician at BroMenn and later worked in private research.  After successfully obtaining another degree in programming at Illinois Central College, she began a long career at State Farm Insurance Companies where she was an IT Project Manager.

Elsie was passionate about her French bulldogs and took great pride in being able to foster rescued dogs throughout the years.  A staunch supporter of Relay for Life, Elsie also enjoyed crafting, playing cards and board games.  Perhaps most admirable, Elsie enjoyed nurturing personal relationships with friends and family, maintaining friendships over many years and many miles.

Audrey Krueger

Audrey Paige Krueger, the 12 day old daughter of Nick and Amanda Krueger of Bloomington, passed away at 10:04 a.m., Feb. 22 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Her memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Brett Miley officiating.  Interment will be private.  Visitation will be from Noon-2:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, 530 NE Glen Oak Ave, Peoria, Ill. 61637.

Born in Bloomington on Feb. 10, 2015, Audrey is survived by her parents, Nicholas R. and Amanda L. Niswonger Krueger of Bloomington, her maternal grandparents, Beth and Daniel Niswonger of Urbana and her paternal grandparents, Frederick and Phyllis Krueger of Aurora; maternal great grandmothers, Mary Jane Niswonger and Betty Puckett, paternal great grandfather, Adolph “Ace” Wittnebel; maternal aunt, Amy (Steve) Benedict of Tolono and paternal uncle, Aaron Krueger of Aurora.
