Redbirds in Arch Madness on WJBC tonight

With a spot in Saturday’s Missouri Valley Conference Tournament semifinals at stake, the third-seeded Illinois State men’s basketball team faces sixth-seeded Indiana State tonight in the Arch Madness quarterfinals at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.

The Redbirds enter the MVC Tournament having won six of their last eight games.

WJBC will begin its coverage with Sportstalk which will include live reports from the Redbird Rally at the Budweiser Brew House with Scott Laughlin and Bryan Bloodworth. Adam Studzinski will host.

Redbird Preview begins at 7:30 for the scheduled 8:30 p.m. tip with Dick Luedke, Mike Matthews and studio host Eric Stock on WJBC 1230 AM, 93.7 FM, the Country Financial Illinois State Radio Network, WJBC.com and the WJBC app.

The Illinois State softball team continues its time in the Aquafina Invitational in Gainsville, Florida. The Redbirds will play two games Friday. ISU takes on Florida A&M at 10 a.m. and Florida International at 12:15 p.m. Listen live on WJBC.com.

The ISU baseball team will make its annual trip to Florida and play eight games in nine days, including seven games at the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. Illinois State will begin play Friday against Indiana. First pitch scheduled for 1:30 p.m.on WJBC.com.

The Bloomington Thunder host a Team USA Developmental squad at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. The Thunder are promoting Chicago Blackhawks night with 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Jamal Mayers, and national anthem singer Jim Cornelison. Listen live at 7 p.m. on WJBC.com.
