BLOOMINGTON – Peaceful protesters and loving supporters came to Bloomington to see Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The event was held at Synergy Flight Center. Many drove two hours after a Chicago Trump rally was postponed.
“The Bernie (Sanders) people were taunting the Trump people, plus the Bernie people were saying vile things against the police,” said one supporter who had tried to attend the Chicago event.
There were more than one hundred peaceful protesters on site to greet the Trump fans.
“He’s just a bigot and awful and racist and I just really hope he doesn’t become our president,” said Alexis Swearingen.
Trump ordered police to remove several protesters from the rally, but none were violent.
