BLOOMINGTON – Home Sweet Home Ministries is preparing for the start of its annual May Community Challenge.
A group of donors has already pledged $65,000 to the campaign. The community is being challenged to match that and make the total $130,000. Chief Executive Officer Mary Ann Pullin said the money will be used for Home Sweet Home’s general operations.
“On any given daywe have about 70 people staying in our shelter,” said Pullin. “They need case manager services. They need a place to stay. They need clean laundry. They need three meals a day.”
Pullin added this isn’t the largest annual fundraise for the organization, but it’s one of them.
Donations can be made online at www.donate.HSHministries.org or by mailing them to 303 E. Oakland Ave. in Bloomington.
