Rauner will skip Republican convention

BLOOMINGTON – The head of the Republican party in Illinois is our Governor. However, Bruce Rauner said he will not be attending the Republican National Convention in Cleveland this summer. Instead, Rauner says he will be going to Indiana.

“They’ve been stealing our jobs in Indiana for decades and I’m a competitive son of a gun,” said Rauner. “I don’t want our jobs going to Indiana, I want them coming here to Bloomington……”

A story in Friday morning’s Chicago Tribune quoted those close to saying he won’t endorse Donald Trump for President. During a stop at Nord Outdoor Power in Bloomington, Rauner says he’s not commenting on that.
