Center Street in Bloomington to close for water service repairs

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Water Department will be making an emergency water service repair in the 800 block of South Center Street between Oakland Avenue and Wood Street.

Due to the location of the water service, Center Street will be closed to thru traffic.

The road closure is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and should be reopened by 7 p.m.

A detour will be posted from Center Street to Oakland Avenue, Oakland to Morris Avenue and Morris to Veterans Parkway. There also will be intermittent lane reductions on Friday, May 27, 2016.
