CHICAGO – Gov. Bruce Rauner is putting an early end to speculation about his political future.
In a meeting with the Chicago Tribune editorial board, he told them he will run again. Tribune columnist Rick Pearson reported on Twitter that Rauner maintained he said that before, but Pearson doesn’t recall any previous announcement.
Rauner never held a political office until he was elected governor in 2014.
