NORMAL – The Town of Normal received a revised schedule of road closures related to the Illinois high speed rail project.
The closures are required to complete the work on the railroad tracks and to replace the roadway crossings. A detour route will be marked for each closure.
Fort Jesse Road is scheduled to open Wednesday. Linden Street and Broadway are targeted to reopen Sept. 30, while the bike and trail crossing will remain open.
Work on College Avenue and Mulberry Street is scheduled for Oct. 3 to Nov. 5
Beech Street will be closed starting Sept. 14 with to target date for completion yet.
