Voters across Illinois make important choices

BLOOMINGTON – Illinois voters will vote on the so-called lock box amendment.

If passed it would not allow state legislators to use money earmarked for transportation on other needs.

U.S. Senator Mark Kirk is fighting to keep his job as he is challenged by Democratic Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth.

In the 13th Congressional District incumbent Republican Rodney Davis of Taylorville is being challenged by Democrat Mark Wicklund of Decatur. In the 18th Congressional District Republican Darin Lahood of Peoria tries to defend his seat against Democrat Junius Rodriguez of Eureka.

In the 101st House District Republican Bill Mitchell is facing Democrat Christine Law.

There are three McLean County Board seats being contested. In District 3 Democrat Jessielee Hinshaw is challenging Republican George Wendt. In District 5, Republican David Selzer is being challenged by Democrat Kimberly Pfiefer, and in District 7 Democrat Victoria Harris is being challenged by Republican Jacob Beard.
