BLOOMINGTON – McLean County Clerk Kathy Michael says conspiracy theories about hacking voting machines are baseless in nature.

“We always have to be on guard,” said Michael. “Trust but verify. But, there is no way to hack into our machines unless they were standing right there and we would be able to see them. We are not online and I don’t mean to make light of it. But, no. I would say categorically I would say you could not hack our machines.”

Michael says that if you do have any questions before you cast your ballot, or notice anything out of the ordinary, to ask an election judge for assistance.

Illinois poet Vachel Lindsay…

I was a grade-schooler during the Civil Rights 1960s. I watched Birmingham demonstrators hosed and the Selma – Montgomery…

Workers’ Memorial Day – Remember those whose job took their life

Looking around our community, when we say employer, most will respond to State Farm, Country, or Illinois State University.   We too often forget those who are building our roads, serving our food, or our public employees. COVID-19 has made us more aware of the risk.  Going to work every day for some people means…
