PEORIA – U.S. Rep. Darin LaHood (R-Peoria) and U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Taylorville) each cruised to an election night victory to retain their seats in the U.S. House.
LaHood defeated Democrat Junius Rodriguez in Illinois’ 18th Congressional District.
Davis retained his seat with a victory over Democratic challenger Mark Wicklund. Davis said a goal for him in the next two years is improving health care.
“I have constituents tell me they’ve got upwards of 87 percent increases in their’ health care premiums, with $6,000 deductibles,” Davis said.
