Cardinals, CornBelters on WJBC airwaves today

Jamie Garcia is scheduled to pitch for the first time in the Major Leagues since a shoulder injury sidelined him early last season as the St. Louis Cardinals finish their four-game series against the Mets.

Jacob deGrom will counter for the Mets in the matinee in the Big Apple. WJBC 1230 AM will have call from John Rooney and Rick Horton starting at noon.

The Normal CornBelters wrap up their first home series of the season as they return to the WJBC airwaves. The CornBelters host the Gateway Grizzlies in a 6:35 p.m. first pitch. Greg Halbleib has the call on WJBC 1230 AM and WJBC.com after Sportstalk with Tim Lewis.

Illinois State plays in an elimination game of the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at Eck Stadium in Wichita. ISU takes on Southern Illinois at  12:30 p.m. Listen live on WJBC.com .
