NAPERVILLE – Two Illinois Wesleyan basketball standouts were honored on Monday as senior center Trevor Seibring was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Men’s Basketball Player of the Week and junior guard Rebekah Ehresman was named women’s Player of the Week.

Seibring helped lead the Titans to a victory in their only game last week. He finished with a season-high 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, along with five rebounds, three assists and one steal in a 73-72 win at Washington University of St. Louis on Saturday. Seibring connected on his only 3-pointer and was two-for-two from the free throw line.

The No. 18-ranked Titans host Chicago on Tuesday.

In claiming the second CCIW weekly honor of her career, Ehresman scored 14 of her game-high 18 points in the second half in a 79-52 win over the University of Chicago on Saturday. She finished the game 6-of-12 from the field (5-of-7 in the second half) and added seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal. The Titans outscored the Maroons 52-22 in the final 20 minutes.

The Titans (5-4) have time off before its next competition, playing at No. 4-ranked Thomas More on Dec. 29 in Crestview Hills, Ky.
