athleteoftheweek WJBC Radio, in conjunction with Meatheads of Bloomington-Normal, Clay Dooley Tire and Auto and Roberts Trophies, is proud to present the WJBC Athletes of the Week.

Winners for the week of Feb. 13:

Charlie Sartoris – Central Catholic Girls Basketball

Charlie shared the team lead in scoring with 13 points in the Saints’ regional semifinal win over Tri-Valley, then poured in a game-high 17 points in the Saints’ regional championship win over Champaign St. Thomas More.

Savion Haywood – Bloomington Wrestling

Savion won the 132-pound title at the Sterling Class 2A Individual Sectional to advance to the state tournament. The Purple Raider wrestler is 41-1 and ranked 2nd in the state.
