Theresa Marie Champagne, 88, of Evanston, formerly of Normal, passed away on Feb. 24 surrounded by her family at the Frank B. Foster Pavilion at Westminster Place, Evanston.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday at Epiphany Catholic Church in Normal with Rev. Eric S. Powell officiating.  Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass at the church.  Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epiphany Catholic Church.

Theresa was born July 23, 1928 in Kenosha, Wis., the daughter of Eugene and HattieZicarelli.  She married Roger James Champagne on Sep. 12, 1949 in Kenosha, Wis. He preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 2010 in Normal.

Theresa was a member of Epiphany Catholic Church for over 50 years, and later a member of St. Mary Parish in Evanston. A devout Catholic, her faith was her foundation. She was also blessed with a long and happy marriage, loving children and grandchildren, and many cherished friendships.

Surviving are one daughter, Anne Champagne of Evanston; two sons, Paul (Betsy) Champagne of Macungie, Penn. and David (Jane Junn) Champagne of South Pasadena, Calif. and five grandchildren, Patrick, Margaret, Katherine, Eve & Juliet.  Also surviving are one brother, Richard Zicarelli of Naperville and one sister, Jean Smejkal of Crest Hill.
