Virginia Limer

Virginia I. Limer, 92, of Normal, passed away at 9:50 p.m., March 23, at Heritage Health in Normal. 

Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Randy Reese officiating.  Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery, McLean.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. 

Memorials may be directed to Illinois Cancer Care, Bloomington. 

Virginia was born Dec. 9, 1924 in Shelbyville, the daughter of George and Flo Dildine Davis.  She married James R. Limer in Dec. 1943.  He died in 1987.  She later married William Bonser in December of 1994.  He died in 2010. 

Survivors include three children, Nancy (Don) Mueller of Illinois City, James Lynn Limer of Bloomington and Bonnie (Robert) Iutzi of Stanford; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Thelma Becker of Shirley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Martin Litwiller, two sisters and three brothers.   

Virginia worked alongside Jim in the insurance office in Stanford for many years.  She enjoyed traveling and was an artist.  She loved roses, Missouri and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
