Main St. overnight lane closures planned

BLOOMINGTON – Due to sewer main rehabilitation, lane closures during overnight hours will occur on Main Street between Olive Street and Chestnut Street starting May 1 through May 5 from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. each night. Drivers should anticipate traffic delays and consider alternate routes.

Because this section of Main Street lies within a business cistrict, the city has chosen to complete this work overnight in order to cause the fewest disruptions to local businesses, traffic, and parking. The city has attained the permit required for this type of work which occurs during overnight hours. Additional information can be found at www.cityblm.org and the city’s Facebook page.
