Illinois State to host MVC volleyball, women’s individual tennis championships

ST. LOUIS – Illinois State will host a pair of Missouri Valley Conference Championships during the 2017-18 academic year, as the Redbirds will welcome league members to Normal, Illinois, to host the MVC’s volleyball and women’s tennis individual championships.

The MVC Volleyball Championship will be hosted at Redbird Arena on Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 23-25, 2017. The league’s top six regular-season finishers will compete for the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth at Redbird Arena for the first time since 2006. Illinois State last won the MVC Tournament in 2014.

Illinois State will also host the MVC Women’s Tennis Individual Championship, Oct. 7-9, at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts or Bloomington Tennis Center.
